2 Useful Free Advertising Websites
When starting a new online business, advertising can be expensive and challenging. I’d like to share a couple of free advertising websites that you can use to advertise your business for FREE.

Craigs List
Craigs List is a great way to advertise your business for free. There are paid options however , when starting out you may want to use the free classifieds to start.
First you select a Metro area that you want to advertise in.
Then you select a category. I usually select Services then Biz Op.Click on Post an Ad. Fill out your headline and the body of your ad. Then follow the prompts to publish.
It is a fairly simple process.
You will receive an email confirmation that you had has been placed. Sometimes you may be required to confirm the ad by clicking the link in the email.

Backpage Classifieds
Backpage is similar to Craigs List. It is a free classifies website. It pretty much works the same way. But it’s a good thing to have ads in as many places as possible. Backpage is my second choice for placing my business ads.
The thing you want to be mindful of is the headline for your ad. Be sure to have a headline that is going to catch the attention of your readers. The headline will determine if someone will click your ad or not.
Put yourself in the shoes of your target audience and ask yourself “Would I click this ad?” If your answer is yes then go with it.
Be sure you know who your target audience is. Marketing to everyone is like marketing to no one.

Great stuff, Deirdre! I’ll add one more to the mix: freeclassifieds.com. You’ll never get a much traffic with free ads as you will with paid ads, but there’s still a way to make things happen when paid ads aren’t in the budget! Thanks for sharing this, Deirdre!
