Can We Heal Ourselves

Do you believe that we can heal ourselves. Do you believe in spontaneous remission?
In this video Lissa Rankin, MD explores scientific literature, reviews case studies of spontaneous remission, and data on the placebo and nocebo, to prove that our thoughts affect our physiology.

Lissa Rankin states that in order to heal ourselves we need:

  • Healthy Relationships
  • Healthy professional life
  • Healthy creative life
  • Healthy spiritual life
  • Healthy sex life
  • Healthy environment
  • Healthy financial life
  • Healthy mind
The brain communicates with all the cells in the body via hormones and neurotransmitters. Negative thoughts and situations are seen as a threat by the body and it goes into protection mode that triggers the stress response. We need to counteract it by turning on the relaxation response which can be done by meditation, yoga, getting a massage, having sex, laughing to name a few.
I thought this video was very interesting and informative. Especially all the data in the case studies of those who went into spontaneous remission from their disease.
